About sekhem

Sekhem is an Ancient Egyptian system of healing associated with the Goddess Sekhmet, the lion-headed daughter of the Sun God Ra. Sekhem was commonly known to mean ‘power’ or ‘the Power of all Powers’ and was used as a mark of respect when addressing royalty. Sekhem healing is channelled living light energy that is both deeply cosmic and grounded at the same time. It is believed that this healing energy was used in other ancient cultures such as Lemuria and Atlantis and is said to have its origins in the star system, Sirius.

The Sekhem system incorporates the healing rays, Reiki and Seichim or Sekhem. Reiki was rediscovered by Dr Mikao Usui in Japan in the early 1900’s and is the foundation for the Sekhem system. The Seichim or Sekhem ray was rediscovered through Patrick Ziegler in the Great Pyramid in 1980 and like Reiki is accompanied by various healing symbols. In Sekhem there are myriad symbols, including five portal symbols that bring in energies through the central and great central suns, these we learn at later stages in the Sekhem healing system.

The high frequency energies that we access with Sekhem are deeply empowering, supporting profound personal transformation, raising our consciousness and energetic vibration while encouraging us to stay grounded and embodied so we can manifest our fullest potential as individuals, a collective and a planet. While some believe the energy to be representative of the Divine Feminine, associated with Goddesses Sekhmet, Isis, Kwan Yin among others this seems to depend on the culture through which it has been filtered. Others, including Patrick Ziegler believe it to be of neutral gender.

It is my experience as Sekhem moves through me, that it is a catalyst for the awakening of the Divine Feminine, stirring an awakening of the Divine Feminine sleeping within each of us. Worship of the Divine Feminine and respect for the feminine and the way of the mother, the way of love, compassion and kindness has been lost and as a result, a way of being for humanity and an entire gender have been repressed and oppressed for millennia. My call is to women who wish to proudly reclaim the Divine Feminine aspect of themselves and the power and might to embody it and boldly, bravely carry it into the world free from shame and fear. I believe that until we reinstate the Divine Feminine back to her rightful place within each one of us, we will continue to live in an unbalanced, unfair world where ‘power over’ rather than ‘empowered together’ will rule.

Sekhem is learned in stages, with an Initiation into the energies at each level. There are five levels in total - Level One, Two, Advanced, Masters and Teacher Level.
