You may wake up each day not knowing whether you'll have the energy to function or the focus to get through it.
You might feel stuck in a loop—fluctuating between states of stress and shutdown, with no clear way out.
When you're caught in these patterns of emotional intensity or numbness—or bouncing between both—it can feel impossible to move forward.
Each day can feel unpredictable, and simply getting through it can take everything you have. Over time, this sense of stuckness can quietly take over, leaving you feeling like you've lost your footing, eroding your sense of self, and leaving you questioning your ability to cope, all while negatively impacting your quality of life.
This course offers a grounded, empowering pathway forward—a space to begin listening to your body, restore a sense of inner safety, and support your nervous system in returning to balance. You'll be invited to move at your own pace, reconnect with yourself, and rediscover your capacity to meet life with calm presence and quiet strength.
Heal, Embody, Empower is an 8-week journey designed to support you in reclaiming a sense of safety, connection, and inner power. Through a blend of therapeutic yoga, breathwork, and gentle vagus nerve practices, combined with mindful self-inquiry, this course offers a clear and compassionate path out of emotional overwhelm and disconnection—toward greater balance, resilience, and embodied healing.
What’s The Journey About?
Each week, you’ll spend 2 hours engaging in a trauma-informed therapeutic blend of practices that meet you where you are on your healing journey. Together, we’ll explore gentle yet transformative yoga movements, learn practical ways to regulate and build flexibility in your nervous system, increase your tolerance for experiencing sensations and emotions in your body, receive energy healing, and have the option to share your experience with other women in the class. This journey is not about achieving the perfect pose—it’s about discovering and honoring your body’s wisdom, ultimately finding your own path to healing.
In Our Time Together, You’ll:
HEAL
Discover trauma-informed yogic practices and vagal toning techniques that help you feel safe in your body. Learn to recognize the signals your nervous system sends—and how to respond to them through mindful breath, gentle movement, and self-applied touch.
EMBODY
Experience specific yoga postures, pranayama practices, and vagus nerve exercises that reconnect you with your physical body in a safe, attentive way, where you’ll be invited to listen to your body and honor its unique needs and pace.
EMPOWER
Engage in psychoeducation that translates complex ideas like polyvagal theory into everyday tools. Understand how your body responds to stress, how to create safety through choice, and how to transform trauma into a source of inner resilience.
A Glimpse Into the Course
Foundations of Awareness & Choice
Begin with simple yet powerful practices that bring you into the present—using breathing practices, mindful movement, and gentle self-touch techniques. Learn to sense your body’s signals and create your own safe space from within.Exploring Your Nervous System
Through accessible teachings on polyvagal theory, you’ll learn how the vagus nerve and different nervous system states influence your emotions and behaviour. These insights empower you to recognise when you’re in fight, flight or freeze modes—and how to support yourself in gently shifting into a state of calm and connection.Healing Through Movement
Experience a variety of yoga practices designed specifically for healing trauma. Each class will invite you to mindfully explore a sequence of movements and your relationship to them, as well as the feelings and sensations they evoke, while building nervous system flexibility. In each class, we’ll flow between:
• Safe Mobilization: Explore gentle yoga flows that invite movement with curiosity.
• Safe Immobilization: Embrace moments of rest and deep relaxation (including savasana with the option to receive energy healing) that allow your body to digest and integrate change.
• Sensory Awareness Practices: Engage in facial acupressure and self-havening touch to release built-up tension and promote a sense of inner ease.Receiving in Savasana
You’ll have the opportunity to set an intention for your deepest healing both at the start of the practice and again before savasana (the resting pose at the end of the practice) when I’ll offer an energy healing for the group for those who wish to receive it. The energy channelled will be either Reiki, Sekhem (Egyptian Reiki), Angelic Healing or a combination of the three. Energy healing can support you in ways that no other type of healing can as it is guided by the Divine or Source energy, your intention invites it to support you where you need it the most.
Embracing Connection & Community
Every session includes time for sharing (optional). You’ll have an opportunity to connect with other women in the group, share your experience of the class, and explore what came up for you in a held, supportive space.
Who’s This Course For?
This course is designed for women on their healing or trauma recovery journey who:
• Are looking for gentle, effective tools that will empower them to create lasting change.
• Wish to reconnect with their body in a way that feels safe and at a pace that suits them.
• Are tired of feeling stuck in states of overwhelm, anxiety, fear, anger, hypervigilance, crying uncontrollably, fatigue, helplessness, numbness, or depression.
• Are ready to step into an empowered version of themselves who has the self-awareness, wisdom, resilience, and capacity to handle what arises both within and outside of themselves.

About Claudia maxine
This yoga healing journey is facilitated by Claudia Maxine, an experienced and trauma-informed yoga teacher. Claudia has been teaching yoga since 2007 and pranayama teacher since 2008. More recently Claudia has trained and certified in Applied Polyvagal Theory in Therapeutic Yoga for Trauma Recovery with Arielle Schwartz PhD.
Having walked her own journey of trauma recovery, Claudia now dedicates herself to supporting other women through their healing processes drawing on the extensive tools, practices and energies available to her.
